Hi guys,
I was just browsing through some of my art notebooks and came across a note about Claire Beynon’s artwork
” Plumb Bob and Haiku Islands“, oil, liquin & pastel on paper. Claire Beynon’s artworks particularly charcoal pieces such as Katabatikos Series are some of my favourite works, abstract yet evocative of her love of Antarctica. I enjoy her musings on her blog and find myself adrift happily on her tangents, often when in fact I should be working… Check out her Boat Meditation as an example of my latest wanderings.
Whilst meandering and thinking of theĀ expansive landscapes of mind and ice, I just wanted to draw your attention to White Silence: Grahame Sydney’s Antarctica. This outstanding collection of photographs from one of New Zealand’s most pre-eminent artists pays homage to the Antarctic landscape.
Check out Grahame Sydney’s celebration of the rare flashes of beauty found in the bleakest, most inhospitable region of Earth.
Okay I’d best get back to work,
Tika
